AWARD WINNING PHOTOGRAPHER

Our Brisbane manager & head photographer Lannie, has won AIPP Australian Illustrative Photographer of the Year. This has been a dream come true for the 23 year old.

“I would define my overall style as ‘creative’ photography. Anything that stimulates the senses is the focus of my lens!” she giggles.

When asked ‘What do you look for when you shoot (commercially and privately)?’ Lannie replies “For portraiture and private art photography, I look for light and that single moment. These kinds of images are everywhere, everyday. Nothing is ordinary the world revolving around, represents thousands of images to me, it’s the documentation of my vision.”

Lannie goes on to describe what she loves about photography.  “Photography is about the blessing of sight for me. Just being able to get up every morning and see the way the light moves through the bedroom window or the reflection of the clouds in my mirror stimulates my senses.” “The most incredible aspect of photography is that a single image can say more than words could ever describe.  When someone looks at my art and it touches their emotions, it’s incredibly fulfilling.”

"The way I approach my subjects is so important. They open up their soul to me, which comes down to comfort ability and taking your time with the subject. For me I couldn’t even begin to thank or describe in words, how amazing they are, to be apart of that emotional process for me.”
