Nami's Story

My name is Nami, (yes like Naomi without the 'o') and I am the owner of  Katrina Christ Photographer in Melbourne. Like Katrina, I had an amazing childhood growing up in the bush with my wonderful parents, brother and sister, along with two dogs, some chooks, pidgeons, ducks, cats, and yabbies in our dam.

After completing a B.A. in Photojournalism at La Trobe University in Bendigo I headed off to the big smoke with camera in hand. After spending six years in sunny Brisvegas , two of which I spent managing Katrina Christ Photographer, I decided to return home to family. I gained an enormous amount of experience being part of the KCP Team in Brisbane, and when the opportunity arose to own and run a franchise, I jumped at the chance.

Running my own business is all that I thought it would be and more. With my amazing staff Jacqui, Jess, Margot and Kim, I've had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful families. Seeing the final result of the artwork we create for these families is so fulfilling, not to mention the wonderful feedback we receive from our clients!

When I am not in the studio I love spending time feasting in Melbourne's Chinatown, checking out what's on in the galleries, or getting away into the countryside for the weekend with my gorgeous husband Andy.
